An amendment to a paragraph in the last meeting where it was documented that there were 63 sexual offences in the first 8 months of this year, this should have said 63 violent & sexual offences & 102 violent & sexual offences in 2024.
All had received the minutes and they were agreed as a true copy proposed by Howard Dini & seconded by Jackie Metcalf and approved.

We need because as many people as possible to go to the website because regular traffic & searches on the name will raise it up the google rankings and be more visible.

GB updated the meeting on the recent Hujjat AGM minutes, which suggested some friction within group on where the £33mn spent, group highlighted that they were having positive talks with the council about their plans, that there could be a change at LBH in terms of the makeup of the councilors and pre app discussions were being had. GB warned that planning may be submitted by end of this year. Harefield First were organizing a Widewater Place meeting for the 27th November in the Social Club.

Police/Crime
Further to the letter sent to the Police referring to the HMOs overlooking the School.
Committee member, Derek Kent, met with Sargeant Alfie Thomas and 3 officers from the Harefield Safer Neighbourhood Team to discuss HMOs and general incidents in Harefield. Firstly, they considered Harefield to be a relatively safe area with a good reputation for community involvement and awareness of crimes.
The team have attended some calls to attend HMOs with Sanctuary Close and the High Street being the most visited. Sergeant Thomas said the team were aware that there were 9 flats in the High Street with up to 4 residents in each flat, mostly men, and the balcony overlooked School.
She reiterated that outside space was limited for these residents and the balcony was probably used as an area of recreation.
They were aware and attended the ‘naked man’ incident but could not say whether he was still a resident. There had been a death in the flats but it was not considered suspicious. They have contacted the School but said that it was not duly concerned about the HMO location.
The Sergeant apologised for the cancellation of the Police Stall meeting at the Co-Op and that the ‘Street a Week’ patrols have not taken place due to other priority work. The ‘Coffee with a Copper’ has been stopped as it was not proving worthwhile.
She assured that patrols are regular in Harefield with at least 2 officers and that they are very aware of high incidence areas which they visit regularly and that Shop LIfting, Tackling ASB and Reducing Violence Against Women and Girls is a priority for the police in Harefield.
It was clear from all of the officers that gossip and misinformation had an effect on the residents’ concerns about rising crime but stated that too few incidents are reported and asked that the police be made aware of all crimes or the feeling of being unsafe by telephoning 101 or 999.
You can also report crimes through the www.police.uk website. Sergeant Thomas asked if the HTRA was recognised by the Council and was told it was not. She thanked the HTRA for their contact and concern and hoped this meeting would help reduce the anguish that some residents are feeling.
Since this meeting Derek has officially asked for a SNT member to attend our HTRA meeting but is yet to have confirmation.
Below is a list of priorities for the Police in Harefield.
- Priority:
Shoplifting – Residents and Local retailers have raised concerns as this is an ongoing issue. The MPS and Harefield Village SNT are dedicated to the reduction of shoplifting.

Harefield Village SNT will use intelligence to bring offenders to justice and will increase patrol in areas of concern on a regular basis, this will include plan clothes shoplifting operations.
Provide crime prevention advice and work to shopkeepers and work closely with the community

- New Moorhall Road- Night time road closure for resurfacing- 3 nights 20/11, 21/11, & 22/11 10pm to 5am
HS2/Align have agreed with LBH to close Moorhall Road over 3 Night Shifts to allow for resurfacing of the road either side of where the Colne Valley Viaduct crosses the road.
There are other works going on at the Old Dairy Ruislip & in Maple Cross which are detailed in the enclosed hyperlink
- Vernon Drive will be closed again for Affinity Water works from 8am 11th November to 5pm on 14th November although at the time of writing this the road was still open
- Harefield Doctors surgery lighting outside the surgery is non existent, this relates to the path from the reception door to the road. This pathway is very uneven & dangerous
- Cadent road works Hillend Road ongoing from now until 12th January

The Enforcement Officer has been informed that there has been electrical supply installed on the entrance to this area. The mounds of earth surrounding the site have not been removed.
Planning Webinar Report
The Mayor of London is doing a Green Belt review for the whole of London. “Hillingdon has 1/3 most Green Belt of all of the boroughs” therefore it is worrying that Hillingdon might be targeted and our Green Belt status reduced. Noel Kelly Planning Manager stated that in his opinion “there is going to be a significant increase of building in the Green Belt”.
Hillingdon Council are preparing a new Local Plan and there will be a draft plan consultation between January – February 2026. The plan will be submitted to the Secretary of State before 31/12/26.
Medi Parc
No application has as yet been submitted for building on the Medi Parc, however, I have been in touch with the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England and they have offered to support us if we need them in the furture.
Helping to Save our Woods
For many years Ruislip Woods Trust has had serious concerns about Hillingdon Council’s (LBH) practical management of the Ruislip Woods National Nature Reserve (NNR) which comprises Park Wood, Copse Wood, Mad Bess Wood and Bayhurst Wood and covers 755 acres. The Long-Term Management Plan (LTMP) adopted by LBH in 1982 is not being followed and there is very little community involvement. In 2012 there were 4 full time Woodland Rangers, and the budget was £93K. Today there is only one Woodland Ranger to supervise the volunteers and the budget is unknown.
In February 2025 we notified the Council that we were prepared to investigate partnerships with specialist organisations like the Woodland Trust, however having heard nothing we convened a meeting at the Woodland Centre on 13th June 2025. In attendance were 3 of the Trustees, our GLA member, a GLA officer, the Woodland Trust, and an Officer from LBH.
The LTMP was discussed together with the non-compliance of Natural England’s National Nature Reserve Management Standards. We advised everyone present that we would like to have a collaborative discussion with LBH to devise a long-term solution for the management of the NNR. Following the meeting LBH were provided with a briefing note containing over 250 available grants, one of which amounts to £38K per year for 10 years.
The decision on how to proceed with or without the Trusts involvement now lies with LBH and we await news on how they wish to proceed.

- HARA- Hillingdon Alliance Residents Association which is a group of 9 Hillingdon RA’s joining forces to create a unified voice for the residents of Hillingdon. HTRA are now part of this organisation which will meet bi monthly.
- A discussion was had about leafleting the affecting streets & adding to social media about planned HMO’s to highlight what is happening in their streets and they can then object to the proposed plans
